I don't disagree about this being a golden age of TV, but I thought SPARTACUS was taking the easy (slow-mo bloody violence a la 300) and immoral (having your servants "service" you to warm you up to have sex with your spouse with them watching?) way in lieu of real writing. I don't think I'm puritanical, but I don't see how the soft-core-porn "hottest sex scenes in a long time" help anybody except Starz's profits. More like it is just another step down an obscene path.
