Only one person gets to be Rush Limbaugh because if there were any more of him, there wouldn’t be anyone on the left left. Last Wednesday, Rush came upon some new piece of military political correctness and proceeded to devastate it using precisely a single sentence of twelve words.
Rush found a story in the Navy Times with the headline “Hold Fire, Earn a Medal,” which announced “US troops in Afghanistan could soon be awarded a medal for not doing something, a precedent-setting award that would be given for ‘courageous restraint,’ for holding fire to save civilian lives.”
Rush’s immediate response: “If you really want to do it right, you make it posthumous.”
One joke dismantles the logic behind the idiotic proposal with depth of insight, impeccable logic and wit. If there were no Rush, we’d have to invent him.
