The beauteous Dana Loesch and presumably internally beauteous Alex Marlow and the rest of the gang at Andrew Breitbart’s altogether beauteous Big Journalism have once again been shining a light on The Degraded Profession–this time as it’s practiced in especially degraded Chicago. You gotta watch the video below to believe it.
Last week, radio talk show host William Kelly tried to ask mayoral candidate Rahm Emmanuel a tough question during a campaign stop. The other “reporters” physically tried to block Kelly out–until finally “reporter” Jay Levine from the local CBS-TV affiliate, in a voice strangled with righteous rage, literally threatens to punch Kelly if he doesn’t let poor, delicate Rahm finish what he’s saying:
But wait, there’s more. Intrepid “journalist” Ben Smith over at the left wing news blog Politico now tries to spin the story with the old Joe the Plumber trick: investigating–you guessed it!–the guy who asked the question! And what does he find? That Kelly once wrote a book quoting…. horror of horrors! novelist Norman Mailer… a lifelong liberal Democrat and civil rights activist who wrote an essay in 1957 using the word Negro…
I could go on but I’m laughing too hard to type. Still, I’m excited to see that the journalists of today may yet grow up to be the Goodfellas of tomorrow. What are you laughing at, Klavan? Am I funny to you? Am I some sort of clown?
