J.J. Abrams has a new television series coming out on CBS called “Person of Interest,” about a washed-up CIA agent who becomes a sort of high-tech vigilante. The star is Jim Caviezel who, of course, played Jesus in The Passion of The Christ. Caviezel’s an intense guy – I once joked that Mel Gibson must’ve directed him by saying, “Just be yourself, Jim, but dial it back a little,” – who seems to pick his parts with rock solid integrity in keeping with his rock solid beliefs. Add to this the fact that the show is written by Jonathan Nolan, who wrote “The Dark Knight,” and it begins to seem there might be something worth watching on network TV other than “Blue Bloods.”

Network says this has tested better with focus groups than any new drama in fifteen years.
