A lot of people have been writing to ask me about the status of the Homelanders movie. My series of thriller novels for young adults was optioned last year by Summit Entertainment, the folks who brought you Twilight and Hurt Locker, to be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura of Di Bonaventura Pictures, makers of Salt and Transformers.
The filmmakers are still at work on the project but I have to say the process has been… slow. I’m not directly involved and while I have followed some of it, I’m not really supposed to talk about the behind-the-scenes stuff. Suffice it to say, it’s still happening and if there’s anything even remotely resembling a breakthrough, I’ll try to smuggle out word!
On the other hand, the first installment in the series, The Last Thing I Remember, is now available for $0.99 on Kindle, and the last installment in the series, The Final Hour, is only weeks away from being available. So there’s that.
