The talented French fimmaker Eric Valette has signed on to direct “One Missed Call.” Andrew wrote the script for this remake of the 2003 Japanese horror film “Chakushin Ari.” The story deals with a series of cell phone calls that seem to predict the deaths of the people who receive them. The film will be Valette’s first English-language feature. He previously directed the 2002 French chiller “Malefique,” an ingenious tale of witchcraft that takes place almost entirely within a single prison cell. The filming of “One Missed Call,” is scheduled to begin in July.
