Andrew will appear this Friday, February 3rd, on GBTV’s new panel show “Real News from the Blaze.” The show features discussions about news stories the mainstream media doesn’t cover. The show is hosted by GBTV’s anchorwoman Amy Holmes. Other guests will include Will Cain, Emily Miller and Buck Sexton. The show airs at 7:00PM EST but remains posted on the GBTV website, available to subscribers and those who take advantage of the two week free trial offer. Andrew’s appearance on last week’s Ricochet podcast is still available here.

New Thriller for Adults Due Next January

Andrew’s new publisher Grove/Atlantic will bring out his latest thriller for adults one year from now, January 2013. The book, which Andrew completed at the end of last year, will be published under the auspices of Otto Penzler’s Mysterious Press imprint. The imprint has already published novels by Joyce Carol Oates and Thomas H. Cook. Many of Andrew’s out-of-print and pseudonymous thrillers have been brought out as e-books at MysteriousPress.com.

Two Andrew YA’s Planned for 2012

Thomas Nelson, the publisher of Andrew’s popular Homelander series of thriller novels for young adults, is planning to release two new YA novels by Andrew this year. Crazy Dangerous—an adventure centering on the friendship between a preacher’s son and a young girl who is spiraling into schizophrenia—has already been scheduled for publication May 1. A second thriller, already written, is now being readied for release in November. Both books are stand-alone stories and not part of a series.

Scarred Man to get E-book Debut

One of Andrew’s very first thrillers, The Scarred Man, will soon join his other early works as an e-book offered by MysteriousPress.com. The website is dedicated to publishing the out-of-print work of top-flight crime writers. Andrew’s John Wells series, written under the pen name Keith Peterson, is already on offer there, as well as his thrillers Animal Hour and Hunting Down Amanda. Although no publication date is yet set, The Scarred Man—about two young lovers who find themselves bizarrely linked by a Christmas ghost story—will appear soon.

New Ghost Anthology Scheduled

Vintage Original has scheduled the publication of its new anthology, The Big Book of Ghost Stories, edited by Otto Penzler, for September of 2012. The book will include Andrew’s popular Christmas ghost story “The Advent Reunion.” The story began its life as a series of homemade videos released online with support from Andrew Breitbart’s Big Hollywood. It had a second incarnation as a series of videos made for PJTV. It was then published in rewritten text form in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine. The story tells of a man who returns to the scene of a tragic death just before Christmas.

Homelanders to Get Single Volume Edition

Publisher Thomas Nelson will issue a single volume edition of the complete Homelanders series next year. The volume will include all four books in Andrew’s thriller series for young adults: The Last Thing I Remember, The Long Way Home, The Truth of the Matter and The Final Hour. The tetralogy follows teenager Charlie West’s action-packed quest to discover how an ordinary guy became a target for terrorists and wanted by the police. The edition will be published next May to coincide with the release of Andrew’s new stand-alone young adult novel, Crazy Dangerous.

Andrew’s New MI Video Out This Week

This week, the Manhattan Institute will release the second in Andrew’s series of animated videos. This one is entitled The Manhattan Institute Presents: Wall Street On Trial. This is a follow up to October’s vid, The Green Jobs Answer Man. Both videos were animated by Andrew’s award-winning Klavan on the Culture collaborator Justin Folk. In the current video, the cartoon Andrew takes the role of prosecutor and delivers a blistering cross-examination to both an Occupy Wall Street protestor and a Wall Street banker. You be the judge of the results. Andrew is a contributing editor to MI’s quarterly City Journal.

After “Empire” Cancellation, “ID Man” Gets French Release

French publisher Calmann Levy has published Andrew’s latest adult thriller The Identity Man under the title Un tout autre homme. The novel tells the story of a thief, John Shannon, given a new identity and a chance to redeem himself in a corrupt and burned out city. The Calmann Levy edition is Andrew’s first French publication since publisher Seuil Policiers cancelled its planned publication of Empire of Lies. After editor Robert Pepin left Seuil Policiers, the publisher said it could not publish the tale of a conservative Christian’s fight against Islamo-fascism “because of the political and religious aspects of the story.” Empire has not found another French publisher, though Pepin, moving to Calmann Levy, bought Identity Man. In America, Identity Man is now available in trade paperback format.

Summit Renews “Homelanders” Option

Summit Entertainment—which scored big this past weekend with its new Twilight Saga film—has renewed its film option on Andrew’s Homelanders series of thriller novels for young adults. Word is that the script for the film is still being written, overseen by Miles Millar and Al Gough, whose credits include Smallville on TV and the films Shanghai Noon, Spider-Man 2 and I Am Number Four. Lorenzo di Bonaventura of Di Bonaventura Pictures, makers of Salt and Transformers, is producing. The Homelanders tetralogy begins with The Last Thing I Remember and ends with The Final Hour, all available at bookstores and on Amazon.

Andrew’s E-Books Released This Month

On November 15th, many of Andrew’s hard-to-find and out-of-print novels will become available at MysteriousPress.com. The John Wells series Andrew wrote under the pseudonym Keith Peterson, including Edgar winner The Rain and Edgar nominee The Trapdoor, will be among those available. The site will also sell stand-alones The Animal Hour and Hunting Down Amanda. Agnes Mallory—a non-mystery never before released in the United States—will also be available.
