THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER
Terrorists, only a short period of time to stop them, and the teenage boy who knows the truth of what they're up to…if only he can remember. It's an engaging story, with a likable viewpoint character in a difficult situation. The plot develops well, regularly ratcheting up the tension to keep the reader engaged, while also involving the reader in the character's thought processes. Klavan successfully injects some philosophical threads into this; a characteristic of his novels that help to make them especially enjoyable. A good read.
Wow I literally was barely able to stop reading this book to eat lunch! I would highly recommend all four of the homelander series books for any teen or young adult that likes action packed reads! I also love how Andrew Klavan always keeps good morals in his stories and even mentions God often.
The third book in the "Homelanders" series by Andrew Klavan continues the story of Charlie West and the ever-evolving terror group that has targeted him. The series is the closest thing to the TV show "24" that I have read. Characters develop slowly and Klavan's revelations about them are well constructed. You are always surprised. Read the first two books, "The Last Thing I Remember" and "The Long Way Home" in order before reading this one. There will be one more book in the series. I am enjoying them.
